"We Have a Website?"
Actually, we had three websites at one point for the congregation. Thanks to the tireless work of our gifted carneraman/IT professional Tom Frey, we now have one all-inclusive site that has expanded our web presence substantially and now offers a variety of services and information.
With our new website (found at www.churchinthehills.org), you can watch any sermon from the past year, get up to date calendars, contact committees, get the most up to date information regarding mission and fellowship activities, and follow our prayer requests, as well as dozens of more opportunities. We are requesting picture submissions from any recent CITH activities. If you have a camera, please try to take some pictures for the session anytime you think of it. The pictures can be submitted electronically to the church office or dropped off to be scanned and copied.
The website has served as an on-line presentation of our congregation's mission to be an extension of the Church of Christ in our community. If you have not already, please take a look and offer feedback, comments, concerns, and questions.
In addition to information for visitors, the site will now have regularly updated places for regular attendees to share thoughts, prayers, and ideas for the direction of the congregation, including a regularly updated survey question and fully accessibly message board. Which leads us to the second big announcement...
Starting April 11 (the Sunday after Easter), our regular Sunday morning worship time will change to 10:30 am. The session has made this decision in part to allow for enough time between our early and late service during summer (8:30 and 10:30 am). By making this permanent change before summer, we are hoping everyone wilt get used to this new worship time and adjust their schedules accordingly. I am hoping to offer adult Sunday school class before worship from 9:45-10:15 beginning in mid April, though the details have not been settled.
So, check out the new website and make sure to pay special attention to the Holy Week worship schedule this Lent. Have a wonderful March and I look forward to continuing the journey this congregation is on as we seek to follow Christ's call for faithful discipleship and mission.
